I may have found the missing link in "Why left wing movements are pro Palestine" (i.e., indirectly helping Hamas).

Many people I know and esteem are worried about the pro Palestine Rallies here in Europe and other Western countries, but the real puzzle is why people who would be killed or tortured in Gazah for their beliefs support Hamas over Israel.

 Then it struck me, HARD. Jews in Europe are NOT the demographic that is getting the worst deal, at all. And that has to do with the ideological framework of the friends of unbridled immigration.

So in Europe WHO can be worse off than Jews, in terms of personal risk of violence, discrimination and public opprobrium, given that not even acts that would have made an average citizen of Nazi Germany puke has been sufficient? For that I have to thank my friend Camilla Conti, and her daily press review on youtube (in Italian, highly recommended).

This morning, she pointed out that not only it's impossible to find a religious leader at the various Italian Mosques expressing regret or contempt for what Hamas has don on the 7^th, but that they all spoke in Arabic when interviewed... and she was puzzled that people that has been here for decades won't speak Italian. I love finding rational explanations of events, or rather to file multiple possible explanations and rank them in order of best fit.

THAT was the first thread in the yarn that puzzles me. What do Woke organizations, Mosques, Hamas, leftish governments and NGOs have in common?

It's one thing. It doesn't matter if a consensus drops from Heaven or is arrived at through debate: once there is a “solution”, persecution of the unbelievers is not only permitted, it is a duty of the members above everything else they might think or do in daily lives. Different opinions are not tolerated, because THEIR “good of the many” MUST prevail over any individual preference. Protection of individual ideas (and property) is not only frowned upon, it gets anyone engaging in it total disqualification and expulsion from the group, and in some cases, persecution, threats, or death. THAT's why Mullahs in Italian Mosques talk in Arabic to Italian interviewers: they CANNOT afford to say the same things in Italian ( a fine language where the words for “translate” and “betray” are remarkably similar), because they dread that some integralist Muslim not understanding Italian might think they strayed from the path, shortening their tenure at best, and their life expectancy at worst. They are riding the Tiger and can't let go, not even if they wanted to.

So what they really said when they answered in Arabic is “we can't talk about this even if we wanted to”. And while Jews are having an hard time, there is a group, I don't know how big and frankly no one cares, who has been even more oppressed even while the express policy of the Western governments supposedly would be to help them. And this group is... Moderate Muslims, people who might have fled their countries and kin because they went from a “normal” society by Western standards to seeing women whipped and covered head to toe. Now if they are here they are even more at risk than they were in their own countries. Not even the Vatican would shelter them from their oppressors, who are right here, right now.

So the same westerns ociety who said “integration” are loathe to enforce their values on Muslim commmunities, not out of fear (albeit that is a consideration), but because they share the basic tenet that societies are lead from above, not built from below. “we are more like than unlike”, said the Bard. So, ask yourselves this question: what did your government do to ensure that a muslim immigrant coming to Europe to be “free” could become free of the religious pressure and threats from his group?
